Sign up for COLA Newsletters - Should we as a lake association join COLA? Their information is on their website but could we gain more by joining? Duey Y. volunteered to check into this further.

Website - Cheryl D. will be more involved in the input and controlling the site operated by Ryan DeLaRosa. She will regularly make updates. An “announcement” button/section will be added.

New Business:

Water Sample Collection - Mollins and Haiders will continue to collect water samples but volunteers are needed to bring them to RMB Environmental Laboratories in Detroit Lakes each month. Garry Griffin will do the May sample, Ron K. will do June, Duey Y. will do July, Kathy A. will do August, and Sue E. will do September.

Special Summer Projects - Last summer a lake resident organized a summer get-together on the lake with music from their beach and people listening from their boats. Should more concerts/happy hours/ etc. be encouraged? Board members suggested this be taken to the Annual Meeting in June.

Backup of Digital Database - Every fall the database is backed up to a USB thumb-drive. For extra security it was suggested that a second off-site back-up should be done, perhaps in “the Cloud”. Duey Y. will work with Bruce W. on this. Backup will be done in October.

Yearly Audit - Yearly audits are routinely done. Sue E. and Duey Y. will do this in October. List of Responsibilities for Board - Angela W. provided board members with a description of each of the board positions and responsibilities. A calendar of meetings during the year was also provided with a layout the responsibilities of the board to be covered at those meetings.
