Little McDonald Kerbs Lake Association

On-Line Board Meeting

February 27-April 12, 2023

Angela W. called an on-line e-mail meeting on February 27, 2023. Those responding included Bruce Wessman, Sue Eckes, Cheryl Duysen, Ron Kragerud, Bill Nelson, Duane Yliniemi and Kathy Anderson. Garry Griffin did not respond.

New Business:

Use of the channel over the winter - Angela W. expressed concerns about pick-up trucks with ice houses crossing the channel and possible damage caused by the weight and the risk of breaking through the ice. Bruce W. indicated that the property on the west side is owned by the LID. On the east, the property is owned by an LLC so is private so should be avoided.

Spring newsletter - Doug and Sue Eckes will help work on it as in the past. Currently the board is seeking articles. Anyone with suggestions should bring them to Angela W. or Sue E.

Fireworks - The dates for the fireworks and the amount to spend on fireworks needs to be set by the board. Bruce W. made a motion to have the fireworks on July 1 with a backup date on July 2. Bill N. seconded. Motion carried. It was noted that at the July 28, 2022 the board voted to spend the money raised the previous year on the current year, minus the reserve that already existed in the account in case of future need. Bruce W. reported there was $7,700 to spend. Angela W. will inform Steve Richter of Flashing Thunder so he can draft a contract.

Board Members election - Garry G. And Angela W. have completed their terms and will be stepping down. Bruce W. agreed to run for another term. Danea Bruning has also agreed to run. We are looking for an additional candidate. Al Biederman has offered the use of his barn for the annual meeting again.

The 4th of July boat parade will be on July 4th at 10:00. There will be no rescheduling in case of rain. Wave runners and jet skis are not allowed. Prizes will be given out for the best decorated boats as determined by the beach captains or their designee. A motion from Cheryl D. was made to have prizes in the amount of $50, $40, and $30 respectively for the top 3 boats. Duey Y. seconded. Motion approved. Bill Nelson agreed to lead the parade through the south shore where there are concerns about shallow water depth.

Angela adjourned the meeting on April 12, 2023.
