On-line Board Meeting January 27-March 10, 2020

The meeting was initiated by email from President Angela Willenbring on January 27 to all board members which included Joan Covington, Jim McLeod, Barb Strand, Dave Dunning, Garry Griffin, Kathy Anderson, Sue Eckes, and Brad Helmeke.

Old Business

Secretaries Report:

The last board meeting report of September 11, 2019 was submitted but has yet to be approved.

Treasurer’s Report:

Payment is due to Cora-Kris for our yearly website domain cost for $17. Joan Covington moved to approve and Kathy Anderson seconded. Motion carried. Dave Dunning, treasurer, was asked to cut a check. New Business Newsletter deadline was February 15. Thanks to Joan Covington for the write up and to Sue Eckes and Doug for the great layout. Members were asked to review the copy sent to them. Members submitted comments, additions and corrections. Sue and Doug will incorporate these suggestions into the layout. Motion to approve the newsletters with the corrections and additions was made by Joan Covington and seconded by Jim McLeod. Approved.

Joan C made a motion to update the website using photos submitted by the membership. It had been suggested that membership be notified of this by email but following discussion by the board it was suggested that this be included in the spring newsletter. Jim M motioned to update the website with member photos and the members would be notified of this through the newsletter. Kathy A seconded the motion. Motion carried. A board member/point person who is willing to review pictures for the website needs to be determined and this person needs access to the lake association’s emails. Kathy Anderson indicated she would be willing if there are no other volunteers.

More discussion is needed regarding lake apparel and logo designs. Boards members are generally in agreement with logos for each lake and a design contest. This should be included in agenda for a later meeting.

Board officers up for re-election this year are Angela Willenbring, Barbara Strand, and Garry Griffin. Angela is willing to submit her name for re-election as is Garry Griffin. Barbara has indicated she will not run.

Annual meeting is set for June 20, 2020. Guest speakers will be Chris Le Clair and Darrin Newville/Amy from Soil Water Conservation District. A list of topics to discuss was submitted to board members.
